Violet Gauntlet
This is a game made for the Score Space Speedjam #10 with the theme "Loop"
Description:
Violet Gauntlet is a 3D fast paced platformer(?) that takes the question of "What if we took the best part of Overwatch (Doomfist) and mixed it with peak? (Titanfall)" Well after sprinkling in a bit of style to the mixture I ended up with 6 levels in Violet Gauntlet.
Premise:
You are a weapon that is being trained to eliminate targets and return (the looping back part of the game jam yk?). You are assessed on your ability to complete the simulations and the speed at which you complete the gauntlet.
Controls:
WASD + Spacebar to move around
LMB for a basic punch that bounces you off the environment
RMB for a charged punch that sends you forward
Shift to slide and accelerate down slopes
Developer Note:
The main thing that I worked on with this project is the player and their movement. The movement system in this game is incredibly in-depth with many ways to preserve momentum. This game is meant to be broken and have insane speedrun routes. I am excited to see all the times people can get! (also music is not really my thing. I completely understand muting the game)
